Midsize, half-ton or heavy-duty?
Midsize
Colorado, Canyon and Tacoma fit Denver parking garages and tight trailheads, and handle a small camper, a pair of dirt bikes or a utility trailer. Our midsize trucks were listed at 5,000 to 7,700 lb of towing.
Half-ton
Silverado 1500, Sierra 1500 and F-150 are the all-rounders: a daily driver that can pull most travel trailers and boats. Ours were listed at 9,000 to 13,200 lb.
Heavy-duty
2500/3500 HD, F-250 and Ram 3500 are built for fifth wheels, horse trailers and work. Ours were listed at 16,800 to 23,600 lb, most with diesel power.

What used trucks do you have in Denver?
On Sept. 29, 2026 we had 19 used pickups, including the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2500 HD and 3500 HD, Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Sierra and Canyon, Toyota Tacoma, Ford F-150 and F-250 Super Duty, and Ram 3500. All 19 had 4WD.
Do I need 4WD for a truck in Colorado?
It helps. From Sept. 1 to May 31, Colorado's Traction Law applies on I-70 between Dotsero and Morrison. A 4WD or AWD vehicle complies with at least 3/16-inch tread on M+S, all-weather or winter tires. Since 2025, a 2WD vehicle needs chains or an approved traction device.
How much towing capacity do I need?
Add up the loaded weight of your trailer and cargo, then leave a margin. Most midsize trucks in our inventory were listed at 5,000 to 7,700 lb, half-tons at 9,000 to 13,200 lb, and heavy-duty trucks at 16,800 to 23,600 lb.
Do diesel trucks need emissions tests in Colorado?
Diesels are exempt for their first 4 model years. After that, diesel vehicles registered in the Denver metro emissions area need testing.
Are your used truck prices negotiable?
Every Emich Approved used vehicle has one market-based price that is the same online and in the store, so there's nothing to negotiate.
Can I trade in my truck?
Yes. We accept trade-ins of any make, and its value lowers the taxable price of your next vehicle in Colorado.
